What a weekend...

We have been debating bunk beds for quite some time. The boys are in the same room with toddler beds. Cooper, at 4.5 yrs of age, is finally outgrowing his toddler bed. With a third boy coming in just a few short months (yes, for those that didn't know, it's another boy) we need to create some more space.
After my week of being on the couch and in the house, I decided that Friday night we should venture out to search for the perfect bunk beds. We FINALLY found a store that had some, they were "ok", nothing great, but they would work. I wanted to check Weekends Only, my favorite furniture store, Travis drove there.... They store was gone!!!! It was there 9 months ago when we bought new family room furniture, it was an empty building now. We came home and I got back online to find a location of Weekends Only. I found 4 locations in the St. Louis area. We ventured out Saturday morning after breakfast hoping to be gone a few hours, and home in time for lunch and in time for me to resume my hobby of holding down the couch. We got to the first store, they had the perfect beds! Twin over twin bunk beds with a trundle! (Yes, 3 beds!!!!) They were perfect, the color was perfect, the price was perfect, I wanted them! They didn't have any in stock, they told us to check another store, that happened to be 40 minutes away. We get the boys settled in the van and begin our treck to the other location. We get there, find the beds on the floor, find a salesman who is more than willing to help, tell him we will take them that day! We go to check out, and proceed to sit for 45 minutes. THEY DON'T HAVE ANY IN STOCK!!!! They check the computers, none of the stores have any in stock. Now we have to wait 3-4 weeks to get the perfect bunk beds.

The good news is, after Travis brought me home to nap, he took the boys out to buy "big boy" comforters and sheets. They are amazing. The boys don't like the sheets because they aren't Superman and Batman, but I love them. They match the comforters (3 shades of blue stripes). Without the beds, we are going to paint the room, that way when the beds come in, all we will have to do it assemble them and teach Nelson not to jump off the top bunk like Superman.
