Poor Cooper...

Cooper and Nelson both needed physicals to go to preschool next week. While making the appointment we found out Cooper needed 3 shots! YIKES!!!!
Travis, being the great dad that he is, agreed to meet me there so I wouldn't have to witness the shots. (I've managed to miss all the shots so far, I don't want to ruin my track record.) Travis got there and I left for my own doctor's appointment.
Cooper called a little while later to tell me the "mean nurse" gave him 3 shots and he didn't like it! This moring he was still talking about the shots. I hope he finds something new to talk about soon.

A backyard visitor!

DADDY'S HOME!!!

The boys love it when Travis comes home from work. They will do the same activities with him in the afternoon and evening that they did with me during the day. For some reason with Daddy, they giggle a little louder, stay still a little longer, and enjoy the table time a little bit more.

Nelson's theme for the weekend....

Saturday we went to a dear friends' graduation from chiropractic school. (Congrats, Dr. Jacobs!!!!)


Sunday in church Nelson fell asleep again, minutes before he was supposed to walk out to play with this friends. We didn't have the camera for that. (Who would have thought that a camera was needed in church.


Sunday while eating dinner, the Chili Mac was just too much for him. He fell asleep again!

Twinkies all the time!

My friend Kimberly came over tonight with a Twinkie Bake Set!!! The boys and I will be cracking that out on Monday afternoon! My favorite part of it is the Twinkie the Kid twinkie holder! I will be able to take a twinkie with me when I'm out and about and it will never get smashed.

Always an adventure.

I was out of the family room for 2 minutes, literally. When I came back, this is what I found...

Better than the pancake restaurant!

Cooper climbed into bed this morning with his breakfast order all ready! He wanted pancakes, eggs, toast without a top, and juice. When I informed him that I wasn't IHOP and that he had to pick eggs or pancakes he told me my cooking was better than the "pancake restaurant". He chose eggs and told me I could make him pancakes tomorrow.

A boy after his mom's own heart!

Nelson came to the kitchen this morning while I was getting my coffee ready. He says to me, "Mommy, I need some coffee this morning!" I offered him a sip of mine. He then climbed the cabinets and got his own cup and gave me instructions as to how to make him some coffee...
1. "pour yours milk in the cup" (this would be hazelnut creamer"
2. "pour yours coffee in the cup"
3. "put 3 ice cubes in the cup"
"Yours" is not a typo, that is how the boys both say your (they don't understand sigular and plural.)

I should have known better...

I went to lie down, leaving the boys in the family room with a newly borrowed movie from the library. Nelson came to my room with 20 minutes to tell me Cooper was a naughty boy...

How the Ferris' beat the heat!

The boys and I spent quite a bit of time this morning putting together a Rescue Hero town! The boys are loving the role playing!!! Hopefully they will be entertained long enough for me to finish some laundery...

Fun with Friends

My high school friend, Shanelle was in St. Louis for a day. We had so much fun introducing the boys to eachother. Today was too hot for our outdoor plans so we opted for the Science Center and then pizza and swimming at their hotel...
